Summary: Use Norexis honestly, only for managing your own energy accounts, and only for lawful purposes. You own your data. We provide the service. These terms are governed by Indian law and the DPDP Act 2023.
By creating a Norexis account and tapping to accept at registration, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. These documents together form a legally binding agreement between you and Norexis.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the platform.
You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account. By accepting these Terms, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
These Terms are compliant with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (DPDP Act), the Information Technology Act 2000, and the Consumer Protection Act 2019.

Informational use only: All energy metrics, scores, and calculations provided by the platform are estimates for informational purposes. They do not constitute professional, financial, or legal advice of any kind and should not be relied upon as such.
Your account is personal to you. You are responsible for:
Your account identifier is permanent. It cannot be transferred to another person or reassigned.
You may hold only one Norexis account per mobile number. Creating multiple accounts is not permitted.
We will never ask for your one-time password (OTP) by phone, email, or any other channel. Do not share your OTP with anyone.
You retain ownership of all personal data you provide to the platform. By using the service, you grant Norexis a limited licence to process your data as described in our Privacy Policy and these Terms, solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.
Your energy history within the platform is maintained as a permanent, append-only record. This means that events recorded in your history — such as bills, payments, and asset changes — cannot be deleted. Errors may be corrected by recording a correction against the original entry; the original entry itself is preserved. This design is fundamental to the integrity and verifiability of your energy record and is disclosed here as a material feature of the service.
You may download all your personal data, request corrections to inaccurate information, and request account deletion at any time via your account settings. Deletion requests are processed within 30 days as required by the DPDP Act. The permanent energy history record is retained in anonymised form following deletion.
You agree to use the platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe are in violation of these terms, and to report suspected fraudulent activity to the relevant authorities.
The platform allows you to upload documents to a private storage area associated with your account. By uploading a document, you confirm that:
Documents are stored securely and are accessible only to you unless you choose to share them. When you share a document, the recipient receives a time-limited access link that you control. You may revoke access at any time.
We may use automated processing to extract information from documents you upload in order to populate your account details. This processing is assistive only — extracted data is a suggestion you may review and correct, not a final determination.
You may remove documents from your account at any time. Removal deletes the document from active storage. A record that a document was stored is retained for account integrity purposes.
To provide certain features, the platform retrieves information from utility service providers using the account credentials you supply. By linking a utility account, you authorise us to retrieve information from that utility on your behalf.
The availability and accuracy of retrieved utility data depends on the utility's own systems and is outside our control. We do not guarantee the continuity, accuracy, or completeness of data retrieved from third-party systems.
Links to third-party websites or services may be provided in the platform. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of those third parties.
The platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by Indian law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
Energy metrics, scores, and calculations displayed on the platform are estimates based on data you provide and publicly available reference data. They are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute professional advice of any kind.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable Indian law, Norexis and its operators, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the platform.
We are not liable for:
Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our total liability to you for any claim shall be limited to the greater of the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or the minimum amount required by applicable Indian law.
By you:You may close your account at any time via Account → Privacy & Data → Delete My Account. Deletion requests are processed within 30 days.
By us: We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we reasonably determine that your use of the platform poses a risk to us or other users. We will provide notice before termination where practicable, except where immediate action is necessary.
Effect of termination: Upon termination, your access to the platform ceases. Your energy history record is retained in anonymised form as described in Section 4. Your uploaded documents are deleted within 90 days of a verified deletion request. These Terms survive termination to the extent necessary to give effect to their provisions.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Kerala, India.
Before initiating any legal proceeding, you agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute by contacting our Grievance Officer (Section 13) and allowing 30 days for a response.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect.
Continued use of the platform after the effective date of a change constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not accept the changes, you must stop using the platform and may request account deletion.
The date of the most recent version is shown at the top of this document. Prior versions are available on request from grievance@norexis.in.
As required by the DPDP Act 2023 and the Information Technology Act 2000, we have designated a Grievance Officer to handle complaints related to these Terms and our data practices.
